Rebecca Sinate There is no retirement for "Visionary Leader". It is just a matter of taking a break and breathing time to embark upon new areas of challenges....hence looking forward to seeing you soon Sir Dr. Langkham.

Umarani Chanu I would not say Dr. Langkham was my Boss, he is a Silent Leader. He never outbursts his anger to his fellow workers; he never keep distance with his juniors. He is a soft spoken elder who always try to deal unpleasant situation with calm action.

Sum N Kim Pupu, a big congratulations on completing your tenure in the EHA as a commendable leader, mentor, and lots more. I readily joined UR Chanu in describing you as "..a Silent Leader. He never outbursts his anger to his fellow workers; he never keep distance with his juniors. He is a soft spoken elder who always try to deal unpleasant situation with calm action." Wish you and pipi with a healthy life with Psalm 92: 14 & 15 = "They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him."

time slot for city pastor

Yesterday I was talking to pastor who has over 1000 members in his church. A young pastor who has served about 5 years now since his ordination. He wanted to give me some suggestions as to what his ministry focus should be. Some of the free flowing suggestions were
1. Church services are where he can cater to about 50% to 70% of his church members every Sunday through the 3 services - SS for children, Morning Service and afternoon Service for the youth.  These services must be the non-negotiable priority part of his ministry. Whatever time required for this must be laid aside. Even if it takes say 30-40% of his time, let it be. The first one thing that would make him fruitful is his personal devotion. People like Rev. Ginnei Thang spent everyday at least tow hours that included Bible Reading of at least 5-7 chapters. I suggested to the pastor that might also want to spend  1-2 hours for the same. Then another must slot is for the family. To be successful a pastor would need to be supported by a prayerfully supportive wife and children. You earn this kind of trust and support if you spend considerable time with them. Do give at least 20-25 % of your time for this. Then spend spend time for outreach and home visits as your remaining available time permits.
