Offer the latter to the innocent
The offer of a new dawn
A new dawn of freedom
Freedom from all ills
Ills that surround the innocent's world

In that big hope of tomorrow
A tomorrow that may be forever elusive
One has to bear all the hardships that the Guns brought
One has to put up with the distant promises of Roses
Guns provide comfort and power to those who hold them
The Roses may wilt and droop and may never see the light of the promised day
But Guns and Roses come home to roost today, nay, everyday!
