As Christmas is nearing one's heart goes back to times long gone by and we recollect with  sense of gratitude names of people who touched our lives in an unique way. There had been so many. Praise God for for their contribution in the making of my life.

commitment to my employer

'God is my 'employer'

The rest of my life I am in God's keeping

His will will determine what I can do

His reward is only what I will seek

Insurance for my health and even for my life are in His hands

I can only speak or do what He lets me

Much as I may be tempted to vent out

Social reform if only he leads me into it

Political reform only if he forces me into it

Even church reformation if only I'm needed

Wholistic transformation is the broad goal

For me personally

For my loved ones

For all His saints everywhere anywhere

To all humankind, all of His creation

To that end I'll position all of my strength

To anything else I'll restrain myself

I'll speak out only the truth or else be still

I'll go and do only if there's peace of God

I'll obey the law till it challenges my faith

Ii'll enjoy only what my God provides

I'd choose heaven than hell for life after;

Yes, I'd rather be with my God in this world and the next.

'movement'

Some seem to try arm-twisting God

Some sit and wait to see what happen next

Some work for a movement that demonstrate the character of God's holiness

We need a movement where God takes the central stage

prayer warriors in Lamka

Prayer is the only weapon they have

So lots of people are praying

In prayer they bring out what they desire

They pray to God to answer their prayers

Along the line they petition Him for.

I asked prayer-warriors the prayer items

Missions, salvation and revival i was told

I asked some other young women the same

Provision of protection under '6th schedule'

They prayed against all means that blocks.

Against all form of corrupt practices

Against all who promote such practices

Against all corrupt politicians and officers

Also against who still indulge in corruption

These christian youth from all walks of life

The way they frame their words do differ

That made even praying together difficult

But you can discern a common thread

A deep thirst and hunger for righteousness

A new order that's just and right is gained.

Buang, I wrote a thank you note to na uk. But it includes all of you.  I am so very happy I see a new house completed in a place where you all grew up and we tasted God's love and grace for all our needs.

Niang how I wish you and Chris are here ro rejoice with me to thank God for our new house now in place with all doors windows and even a smooth floor. This is a place where we shared so much of God's kindness, mercy and love in your formative years. May the good God be the God of both of you and your children and even to their children. Praise God.

Mung I just had a tearful prayer of thanks to God for His mercy for our family - our house can now be said to be completed - all open doors and windows now in place.  Some more little works for  light and water will follow soon. I am so proud that you took charge when I couldnt do anything more. May the grace of  God be always yours as it has always been  for me and your mom. Thanks to God for Treena who always atood by you. Love.

Lal, your mom said its a blessing in disguise about your proposal to get the wedding to be here in Lamka. Today it has all doors and windows in place even with a proper floor as we need semblance of a completed for the wedding. Thank God for the parts played by your siblings esp umungs and ukuals in the final stage.  It is indeed a day of thanksgiving for us.

shaking hands or hugging - can mean many different things according to different occasions greetings, farewell, deep appreciation, love and fondness, deep empathy on occasions of  others' misfortune ....

the best language is the language of the body - one can express much deeper feelings than with words

everyone can speak this language and also every one can understand
its a universal language showing really that we all are one ....
lets' speak love to each other - through this universal language

sad note on church mentorship

never in my mind have I hear these things:
that a church committee
there will be lobby or division
that in the same church sub committee
elected elders on no talking time
one feeling suffocated in the presence of the others

a leader with little experience
suddenly putting papers for his assigned responsibility
i thought i would visit and speak to him
speaking to him of what Jesus told to Peter
of others putting a belt around him
of being required where he may not want to go
of the responsibility of feeding the lamb the sheep
of telling him of what the Lord require of elders

But the Chair trusted a lay leader to counsel him instead
The wife who otherwise was very strong in her faith
Seemed to be more happy for him to avoid what he's not good at
I felt sorry my intentions were not fully understood
that I felt to communicate the burdens that God laid on my me


I was wanting to prepare him on the road to being a leader
for a life-term of eldership of which he completed only a year or two

I look at the exterior atmosphere of calm and  tranquility
but there are people who are not on talking terms
there are people who nurture group-ism among us
i feel so sad i could cry ... but my time is getting over and so kept quiet
sorry I have to leave church committee membership with such a sad not
